Melissa Casey

Melissa is a hard working nurse with a decade’s experience behind her. She has recently stepped into a Duty Nurse Manager role after previously working as an Associate Charge Nurse Manager in the emergency department. Hospital-based leadership roles have given Melissa experience in motivating a diverse team, shift management, facilitating patient flow, and coping with difficult situations including mass casualty. She is described as approachable and enthusiastic. Melissa has a genuine passion for emergency nursing and she thrives in the fast-paced ED environment. Problem solving comes naturally to Melissa, who spends much of her spare time helping out on the family sheep and beef farm. When she’s not in the hospital or on farm, you might find Melissa on the lake enjoying waterskiing.
