Lynette Baines

Lynette Baines

Nurse Practitioner | Nurse Educator & Triage Instructor NP

Lynette is a Nurse Practitioner, which means she has legal authority to practice beyond the level of a registered nurse. Her nurse practitioner status is recognition of her advanced education, clinical training and competency – and it means that she is able to prescribe medicines much like a doctor. Lynette is a champion for everyday kiwis and those less fortunate; she’s passionate about mental health, addictions, family harm prevention, and helping people navigate health services. She’s also a champion for kiwi nurses. She has over two and a half decades of emergency nursing experience which she shares with other nurses; Lynette has been a national triage instructor for over 15 years and previously served as a NZ Resuscitation Council ACLS Instructor. She wants to grow advanced nursing roles and upskill nurses to be their best. Outside of work, you’ll find Lynette hiding out on her lifestyle property recharging her batteries alongside the animals or in her large garden.
