Joan Sagala

Joan completed her nursing degree in 2008. After working in the Emergency Department of a private hospital in the Philippines for a couple of years, she moved to New Zealand. Here, Joan gained her NZ nursing license and again secured work in a tertiary hospital ED. To broaden her nursing experience, she then decided to move into perioperative care. In addition to her work with Emergency Consult, Joan is currently employed as a nursing preceptor in a Day Surgery department, and is also in the process of completing her Post Graduate Diploma in Nursing. Outside of work and study, Joan likes spending time with her small family, walking, biking, and camping during summer.
