Jan Macdonald

Jan has been nursing for 15 years and has developed special interests in health informatics and emergency nursing. She originally gained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines, where she worked in obstetrics, gynae, paediatrics, emergency and medical wards. Jan relocated to New Zealand over a decade ago. Upon arriving in Aotearoa she first worked in aged care before moving to Auckland to work in North Shore City Hospital and Auckland City Hospital. Jan has a Postgraduate Diploma focused in Health Informatics from The University of Auckland. In addition to being a pragmatic frontline nurse, she's also passionate about data analytics and the use of technology in the health industry.
