Honey Bardelas

Honey started nursing in 2008 in the Philippines. She first worked as a clinical instructor then as a hospital nurse in a medical-surgical unit. She completed a master’s degree during that time with a focus on Medical and Surgical Nursing. Honey moved to New Zealand in 2012 and shifted her focus to emergency nursing working in a busy ED - eventually working as a clinical mentor for the department before going on maternity leave. Upon re-entering the workforce, she took a role in a Plastics Outpatient Clinic, where she continues to work part-time while raising a toddler. Honey has also recently finished her Postgraduate Diploma in Health Sciences and, in her spare time, enjoys travel, baking and arts’n’crafts.
