Dr Scott Bomann

Dr Bomann completed his emergency medicine training in one of USA’s busiest trauma centres - Lincoln Hospital, Bronx, New York – where he was awarded Resident of the Year (2002). He has a special interest in ultrasound and has completed an ultrasound fellowship at the Yale University School of Medicine. Upon moving to Aotearoa in 2011, Dr Bomann worked in Wellington Hospital’s emergency department as both physician and Director of Emergency Ultrasound. He served the Wellington community for over a decade before recently moving back to New York for family reasons. Dr Bomann has authored dozens of peer-reviewed publications and book chapters – and has appeared as a featured speaker at many local and international conferences. Outside of ultrasound and emergency medicine, Dr Bomann enjoys running, guitar, and planting trees.
