Dr Elizabeth Park

Dr Park trained in emergency medicine in the largest trauma centre in North America. She has engaged in a number of research projects over her career — both clinical and basic sciences, including two research positions at the US National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr Park’s broad emergency medicine experience has seen her work in a number of settings from small community hospitals, large quaternary centres, and even an Indian Health Reservation. Here in Aotearoa, she has worked in many hospitals as well as served as clinical trauma lead, clinical professor at University of Otago supporting the training intern programme, and as an ASMS medical student mentor. She loves to teach and run simulations for junior doctors. Dr Park’s personal interests include reading, writing, skydiving, spending time with her children, and playing music all in her spare time.
