Cielo Phillips

Cielo is an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) who has worked within the Waikato DHB for the last decade across a diverse range of clinical settings. Her broad general nursing skills enable her to work across different areas including the critical care unit, high dependency unit, enhanced recovery unit, emergency department and various wards. Cielo has also worked as a nurse educator within this time. Filipino by birth, Cielo originally gained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of San Carlos then gained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from San Lorenzo Ruiz de Manila. She moved to New Zealand in 2011, staying in Palmerston North shortly before settling in the Waikato. Since being in New Zealand she has successfully completed the Competence Assessment Program for RNs L7 within an aged care setting, as well as Preceptorship of Nurses in Practice, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Nursing - both from Waikato Institute of Technology.
