Bjorn Villanueva

Bjorn has over a decade’s nursing experience in acute care environments. Originally from the Philippines, Bjorn completed his Bachelor of Science in Nursing at San Pedro College, Davao City. Bjorn worked at Davao Doctors Hospital for 5 years before leaving the Philippines. After passing his Nursing Competency Assessment with the Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology (Rotorua) he commenced nursing in New Zealand. He spent the first three years here working in aged residential care – first as a Registered Nurse then progressing to Clinical Team Leader. In recent years he has moved into emergency department nursing within a major tertiary hospital. Today, Bjorn has brought his nursing skills and knowledge to the Intensive Care Unit – while also working as a virtual nurse within Emergency Consult’s aged care team.
