Dr Edwards graduated from Sheffield University and worked for a year as a house office at Rotherham, UK before immigrating to New Zealand. She has been in Aotearoa almost two decades and, in that time, has attained higher qualifications and experienced various parts of the country. Dr Edwards served as a ski medic in Wanaka, started ACEM training in Wellington, practiced general medicine in Rotorua, and completed her Fellowship in emergency medicine in the Waikato. For the past four years, Dr Edwards has worked as an ED Consultant in Tauranga. She developed the mass casualty plan for the Tauranga ED. In addition to ongoing medical training and practice, Dr Edwards is raising three children, plays masters hockey, and aspires to humanitarian and/or expedition work in the future. She is a fan of adventure sports and enjoys skiing, mountain biking and surfing.
